Tips sought in Nanaimo woman's disappearance
NANAIMO — Police are asking for tips in the disappearance of another B.C. woman, 21-year-old Lisa Young of Nanaimo.
Young was last seen leaving a downtown Nanaimo nightclub at about 2 a.m. on Monday, July 1. Constable Jack Eubank, with the Nanaimo RCMP says there have been no new developments in the investigation, which remains a missing person's case although foul play is suspected.
The case has been complicated by rumours that Young's body has been found.
The false information has even turned up on some Internet sites. The rumour also reached her family, causing them considerable distress, police say.
Anyone with information about Young's whereabouts is asked to call police, at 754-2345, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
