Family of missing woman holding vigil

The family of Lisa Marie Young will hold a candlelight vigil for the missing 21-year-old on Sunday, 8:30p.m., at Swy-a-Lana Lagoon.

Young was last seen leaving a downtown nightclub on Canada Day weekend and an extensive police search has so far failed to locate her.

Joanne Young, Lisa's mother, said the vigil is in support of a renewed police effort to find the young woman. The search will begin Tuesday.

"The vigil will be a spiritual gathering so people can say a prayer in the hope Lisa will be found," she said.

"We chose to hold the vigil at Swy-a-Lana Lagoon as Lisa loved to roller blade and walk there. It was her favourite place in the city."

Young said the vigil will be open to the public and candles will be provided to those who don't bring their own
