Dive shows no sign of Lisa

A search by a group of private rescue divers from the west coast of the Island at Colliery Dam Park Friday yielded no clues about Lisa Young.

Young, 21, went missing on Canada Day weekend last year, and police believe she is a victim of foul play.

So far police investigators have found no clues about what happened to her.

The divers were brought to Colliery Dam after a psychic described to Young's mother, Joanne Young, that area claiming they may find evidence there.

But Joanne Young said the divers only had visibility to about 10 feet below the surface. They estimated the depth at about 25 feet in places.

Joanne Young said this likely is not the last time divers will search a body of water around Nanaimo.

She said she would talk with the psychic again, possibly leading to a new underwater search.

A land search, said Joanne Young, is also being planned in the near future.
