Police arrest husband in Nanaimo shooting
RCMP on Vancouver Island have arrested the former husband of a 44-year-old woman who was gunned down while filling her car with gas.
Joseph Centis was picked up at his Nanaimo home and charged with second-degree murder.
His ex-wife, Rosella Centis, was shot from behind on Sunday. Her 13-year-old daughter sat in the car at a gas station in Nanaimo, but did not see the shooting.
Rosella Centis leaves seven children. Two of them, from a previous marriage, are adults living in Italy. The other five children range in age from three to 13. They lived with her in Nanaimo.
The couple separated three years ago and were in the final stages of obtaining a divorce.
