RCMP failed to obtain security camera recordings
From lisamarieyoung.ca
Summary
RCMP failed to obtain the bar’s security camera recordings.[1]
Detail
The Jungle Cabaret had a video security system in place consisting of several cameras which were recorded to a video cassette tape. There were 7 tapes, changed daily: one for each day of the week. This rotation meant there was always record of the previous 7 days. At the time, this was a common setup, as digital equipment wasn't yet affordable for small businesses.
RCMP investigators eventually contacted the bar owner to obtain the recording from the evening of Lisa's disappearance, but several weeks had passed, so the recording was no longer available.[1]
